Day 01: Mumbai – The City of Bollywood

Your adventure begins with a grand traditional Indian welcome at the Taj Mahal Palace at 14:30 hrs. After registration, guests are escorted to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station to board the Maharaja Express. The train departs for Ajanta, offering a delightful dinner on-board as guests settle in for the night.

Day 02: Ajanta – Famous for Its Rock Caves

Enjoy breakfast on-board as the train arrives in Ajanta. Guests explore the ancient rock caves, a significant start to their historical journey through India. After the excursion, relax on the train, enjoying dinner on-board as the train heads to Udaipur.

Day 03: Udaipur – The City of Lakes

Upon arrival in Udaipur, guests savor breakfast on-board. The day"s activities include a boat ride on Lake Pichola, a visit to the City Palace and Crystal Gallery, and a royal lunch at Satkar Hall in Fateh Prakash Palace. Optional activities include spa services, a sound and light show, or private shopping tours. Dinner is served in one of the train"s themed restaurants, Rang Mahal or Mayur Mahal, as the train moves towards Jodhpur.

Day 04: Jodhpur – The Blue City of India

Start the day with a lavish breakfast on-board. Guests can choose to relax on the train or enjoy a spa day, visit Bishnoi Village, or explore Mehrangarh Fort and the Old Clock Tower Market. The evening includes an exclusive royal dinner and cultural performance at Hanwant Mahal. The train then departs for Bikaner.

Day 05: Bikaner – A Culturally Rich City of Rajasthan

As the train enters Bikaner, guests enjoy breakfast on-board. Activities include visiting Lalgarh Museum or Deshnok (the Rat Temple). After lunch on-board, guests visit Junagarh Fort and experience a sunset over the sand dunes, accompanied by tea at Gajner Palace. The evening is filled with folk dances, cocktails, and a barbeque. The train then departs for Jaipur.

Day 06: Jaipur – The Pink City of Rajasthan

Guests are served breakfast on-board as the train arrives in Jaipur. The day starts with a visit to Amber Fort, followed by City Palace, where guests can engage with elephants. Optional activities include spa services, golfing at Rambagh Golf Course, private shopping tours, or visiting Jantar Mantar. Dinner is served on-board as the train moves towards Ranthambore and Fatehpur Sikri.

Day 07: Ranthambore – A Royal Bengal Tiger’s Abode & Fatehpur Sikri – The Ancient Mughal Capital

In the morning, guests visit Ranthambore National Park, possibly spotting a Royal Bengal Tiger. After breakfast on-board, the train heads to Fatehpur Sikri. Guests explore the ancient deserted city, then return to the train for an "Indian Evening" and dinner on-board as the train travels to Agra and Delhi.

Day 08: Agra – The Prestigious Land of the Taj Mahal & Delhi – The Welcoming Capital

Guests wake up in Agra and visit the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A champagne breakfast at Taj Khema follows. The train then proceeds to Delhi, where guests enjoy their last lunch on-board. Upon arrival in Delhi, guests bid farewell to the Maharaja Express, taking home memories of an extraordinary journey through India"s history and culture.
